Creation of a 3D model of a boiler base made of pressed steel

We realized the reproduction of a boiler bottom plate in pressed stainless steel for analysing the differences with the 3D model of the original design.
This analysis was necessary to rebuild a different passage of water pipes in order to reduce the amount of time needed to weld the assembly.
Because of the piece shrinking after the moulding phase, some of the characteristic dimensions were outside the tolerance allowed, diverting from the normal conditions of the whole heat exchanger assembly.
For it was not possible to modify the production technique, we introduced significant changes in the final geometry, re-designing the area of passage of the water pipes in greater detail, thus obtaining the improvement the customer requested.
