Creation of a 3D model of a fan suction housing

Studio A.S.E. realized a 3D model of a suction housing, shell-molded on a existing, worn down piece; we started from a two-dimensional design and from the shell-molded housing of the piece.
Time and use had created some difference between the technical drawing and the produced piece; therefore we had to realize the model, capturing the point cloud and subsequently reconstructing the 3D feature.
This process allowed us to analyse the non-standard areas and to fix the forming process.
